I live in State College and just heard of the place for the first time today, so I have no info on it.

At least if it wasn't a good place to play you could say "That Bar Bleu".
... and then the wheel fell off.

It's owned by the same folks who operate Crowbar. Here is Bar Bleu's website:

I haven't seen entertainment at Bar Bleu yet, but have eaten upstairs at Beulah's a couple of times. The food kicks butt! (I hear the ribs are great, haven't tried them yet.)

The Nightcrawlers played at Bar Bleu on Sundays a year or so ago. Sundays were a terrible night and it was for the door.

It's part of the Dantes chain. Dave Wells would be the guy to contact.

As far as the room itself. Great room. Wont need a large PA. We ran vocals and keys through ours and it was plenty. Cool atmosphere with awesome wall murals. The bar itself, in a seperate area, is very cool with lots of sultry blue neon lights. Load-in is TERRIBLE, but thats most of the bars in State College :)

I hear Friday nights may become available in the near future if not already. As I said, Sundays are terrible, but not sure about the rest of the nights. Truth is.....a lot of people dont know where it is, but I think that may be changing. Good luck and let me know if you need to know anything else.

Steve
