question bout changing files from digital camera..

I downloaded that Windows Movie Maker and I wanted to take some vids off my digital camera and put onto there but for some reason those files won't show up. They are MPG4 files now and AVI files show up on Movie Maker for me, just not the MPG4 files. Sorry if this is vague, I am computer challenged haha, any help would be great!

I use a program called Any Video Converter

Works well enough for me.
