I can totally agree on this topic. Some rockpagers spend way to much time bitchen about anything from politics to different styles of music or musical backrounds. Maybe the word is not "class" but "respect". Rockpage could be a great place for sharing information,ideas,promotion and sharing the general "respect" for the love of music. Not putting yourself on a pedastal so you can make yourself feel better. I've learned alot from experienced and unexperienced musicians ,they all have something to offer. And sometimes trial and error is the best lesson. We all have alot to learn or we wouldn't be here. Let it be about the music......

This is what I don't get.

I mean I talk about music on here everyday. I ask for advice when I need it, (got some great direction here when I was recording). Sometimes I even try to GIVE some advice and that makes me feel good.
Maybe some people don't understand even when we're arguing with each other, there is no hate. I've seen ucjoe, hawk, and songsmith in the same room and they were all getting along . I'll admit, there are some trolls, but You can't take them seriously. It's not like you'll see them out playing anytime soon. As far as you guys who are just now jumping on and posting. Phil and Richie- I wish you guys would post more. Fuck, watching your bands when I was just a kid getting started is what made me want to get out of the garage and on to the stage. Sometimes threads get off topic, but it only takes one post to get back to it if you're that interested in it. We all know each other or at least know of each other on here. The only people who are truly assholes to each other are easy to ignore. Bitching about bitching isn't helping either.

I would love to post more, but I have always been afraid that it would be shot down in flames or picked apart like many other post. So for me its just easier to sit back and watch the show, and let everyone show their true colors "no pun intended" Thats just how I see it, people say shit on here that is just rediculous, they seem to be missing the point. And I also see alot of interesting posts, and sometimes I reply. I get the biggest kick out of some of the posts people make,but wouldn't dare say it to your face. I think you sound like a decent guy. The trick here is really that is does not matter at all. I have had people kiss my ass when They wanted something, kiss my ass for no reason and jump down my throat... I also have a lot of friends on here and a lot of other people... Sort of like the mall but without an EB...

It is sort of like being married except I never get laid on here.

I would really recommend that you just sort of "Be Water" and let it all go. There is really no reason to worry about it.

This page has changed a shitload over the years and will change again. It always seems that there is "someone" who doesn't fit in. I had a friend of mine get kicked off here repeatedly for what I thought was stupid shit...

So again I say "just let it go" and don't take it personally! Most of the people on here have probably never met you, I know I haven't!

phil wagner (cucuplex96), mike 'ice' bryant, dave russel, rich johnson,...and i can't remember the bass player's name. kinda like nofx and bob marley in one-with some metal influence...really soul satisfying. had something for everyone, really. unfortunately they haven't played a gig in a while (that i was aware of).

Wow.. Really.. You guys just continue to prove my point.. I liked what Ritchie had to say.. "Respect".. I say "professionalism" and "Class". It seems to me that there are a lot of 9 year old little kids on here that play in a band.. I mean how professional do you look, when you attack someone.. Like the new threads in general discussion.. I see what you guys are doing.. Continue to make yourselves look like fools.. it doesn’t matter to me.. The only reason I brought any of this up, is because I figured I could help some realize how childish and unprofessional you guys are making rockpage, and your bands look..SURE its a public forum.. you can post whatever you want.. but you are damaging your personal image and the image of this wonderful music forum.. I MEAN, this forum represents central Pennsylvania musicians and beyond.. and stupidity ruins our image.. Everyone bitches that there is no scene around here.. its because there is a lack of possitivty around these parts. Just like Ritchie said.. I don’t post a lot.. and I know a lot of others that don’t either anymore as a result of this.

Thanx for the kind words on The Opposition fellas. The Opposition is a band, that Woofbuger and I formed when we were very young lads. Hell I think I was 15 years old.. Wrote some songs .. recorded a CD, Played some shows.. but it was very short lived, just because of life and other projects that were going on at the time. J.P. probably remember our first band.. "Misconceived".. the opposition was formed around that time...

Then I wanted to reform the band years later and was pretty successful.. now instead of just a 3 piece.. we upgraded to 5 piece... wrote some new songs to go with the old ones.. and ICE and I wrote "finger lickin" featuring "Billy Fischer's catchy bass riff".. it was cool for a while but then Woofy wanted to call it quits.. which was no problem... no hard feelings there.. I knew that the band could never be the same without the only other founding member. Not only that but I was involved in two other projects and with out woofy I could make anymore time without my brother.

On a brighter note.. I am not gonna be involved in The Opposition.. but I hear that Ritchie and Iceman are making plans to reform the band.. which there is no problem there.. I think its really cool and its an honor, for them to wanna continue the band and play some of my music.. hell I think that is really cool.. and definitely look forward to hearing some new stuff. The guys are great musicians.. and I know that the band will do well. Good luck guys!!
