Adult Swim...The greatest scheduling in TV history???
I see a couple of ATHF fans on here, too bad it's not on anymore. Family Guy- man I can't wait until the new episodes come out this spring. That's probably the funniest cartoon I've ever seen. Futurama- this show is OK, not nearly as good as the Simpsons, but Matt Groening tried. Sealab 2021- I watched it once part-way through, boy was it dumb. Any other I should check out?

The beauty of shows like Sealab 2021 *is* the dumbness of them. It's like British comedy- some people get it, most don't. It was the same way with The Tick years ago. (The cartoon, not the horrible live-action "sitcom" they tried) Even Futurama falls into this category to an extent.
Family Guy is still my favorite, it will be great to see new episodes! I still remember seeing the first episode during the super bowl halftime back in '99. Good stuff.

I wish they still aired OH CANADA on there. They were the ones that used to do "The Cat Came Back" and "Frog Under a Glass Plate" (French Cheff was gonna cook him). They had shorts on Nickelodeon 10-15 years back or so. (God I'm old) and their own show on Cartoon Network. It was awesome!
Do any of y'all remember AMAZING STORIES that used to air.. damn, like.. 15 or so years ago?
Two Words: Family Dog.

Holy cow ESA...The Family Dog is a family favorite in my house (if you are talking about the half-hour short cartoon). We had like 3 copies of it on VHS, but they got lost over the years. I don't know what it was about that cartoon, but it was the best.
"He's wizzin on the carpet dad!"
I kinda miss Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life.
Thank mankind for cartoons. If it weren't for cartoons, who else would raise our children?

Anyone ever see Super Adventure Team on MTV about 5 or 6 years ago? It was marionettes, like Thunderbirds Are Go. Dana Gould, a very funny standup, was the executive producer... he writes for the Simpsons now. MTV thought it was too racy for kids, and pulled it (it featured a closeted gay character named Chief Engineer Head, among other things). They're trying to get it out on DVD, but it probably won't happen, because they had to make it secretly, with non-union actors because the budget was too small. My all-time favorite episode featured Muslim terrorists who loved the band Kiss, so the Team dressed up like Kiss to catch them... every single line was funny. Classic TV nobody will ever see again.----->JMS

Invader Zim. That too was classic. I wish they would have kept it running longer.
What about the cartoon that came on right after bevis and butthead (like the first year they came out)... had something to do with a Gluteous Maximus guy... They were all kinda greyish-bluish white, and fat...and stupid.. and I can't think of what it was called. Help!!!?
The adventures of Stain Boy was pretty Stupid, yet entertaining at the same time. Nah.. I lie.. it was pretty stupid.

Yes, that is a great episode!!! It's kind of a funny satire on how absurd the War on Drugs really is.DisturbedViking wrote:I love Family Guy, can't wait for the new ones. I think my fav. is the one w/ the frog licking in high school, and they do a breakfast club spin off funny shit.
Another funny line involving toad licking comes fromt the Simpsons.
Marge: Homer, are you licking toads?
Homer: I'm not, not licking toads.
