PLCB "DULP!"
PLCB "DULP!"
SO!, we played last weekend and had Double Negative opening/ playing
during "breaks". Great time, great show as always with them.
D.N. is a trio comprised of guys who are all the same age range (24-25).
Clayton looks a...bit...older, with a big beard, stocky build, etc. while Matto
and Josh both look younger.
SO, NYE, they were playing someplace I'll not mention so the evil freaks
don't feel the need for reprisals on the place, BUT, inhouse, sulking around,
were a couple of our wonderful PLCB agents. A male and female version
of these. No one knew who or what they were, but they were there, and later
on left.
DN played, things were going great, all their friends were there, Josh and his
G-Friend got engaged, etc. THEN, later,...back came our intrepid "liquor law
enforcers" and had a couple of State Troopers with them (Who were probably
thinking" Seriously, do we have to go with these people).
One of the PLCB-types announced that they wanted to see everyone's IDs...
and the female of the species looked directly at Mt and Josh and said "You
two, get over here". She was SURE! they had a little bust. FAIL! They
checked everyone, etc. and EVERYTHING was JUST FREAKING SPIFFY!
The female FREAKED. She was POSITIVE they were onto something
and was apparently livid at their FAIL! Happy Freakin' New Year losers.
Guess this was the place they decided to focus their covert little action thingy
(Which just shows how desperate they must be) and they got, and at this place
will ALWAYS get SQUWAT!
BUT, thought ya'll might enjoy that.

PLCB can't do anything about noise.undercoverjoe wrote:After they failed to get underage drinkers, I'm surprised they didn't nail the bar with a noise violation just to be the bitches that they are.
Also, I hate the PLCB. Like we don't have better things to worry about than people out having some fun, eh?
Bastards.
I'll get to this one later...
Actually, If you stick around awhile you will find out just the opposite. They have shut down quite a few live music venues. There noise laws are ridiculous and very "vague". Well i guess its not that vague, they can fine whatever bar they want whenever they want.Ray Salamon wrote:PLCB can't do anything about noise.undercoverjoe wrote:After they failed to get underage drinkers, I'm surprised they didn't nail the bar with a noise violation just to be the bitches that they are.

Also on a side note. I wouldn't doubt someone from the PLCB gets on this site quite often so i wouldn't taunt them too much.

The PLCB can control sites based on noise violations? I don't think so. Only police etc. can do that. PLCB = Liquor and alcohol related things. Now, of course, they'd probably run straight to the police if they could prove noise violations were in order, hence having a hand in that, but they themselves can't actually do jack shit about it.tonefight wrote:Actually, If you stick around awhile you will find out just the opposite. Go to the law section of this site and you'll find otherwise. Read this one in particular http://www.rockpage.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=19157Ray Salamon wrote:The PLCB can control sites based on noise violations? I don't think so. Only police etc. can do that. Dude, with all due respect, but where have you been for the past eight years? Weren't you in one of the bands that played a benefit gig at Cassandra fire hall about two years ago? That gig was as a benefit for an organization that was put together to change legislation because of the PLCB running around like a Nazi organization in regards to forcing an arbitrary and subjective noise ordinance.Ray Salamon wrote: The PLCB can control sites based on noise violations? From talking with other musicians in different parts of PA, this really does seem to be an issue related to Blair, Cambria, Indiana, and Somerset counties. Many people wonder if there's a cowboy in one of the top positions of the local division of the organization, and that's why it seems like bars around here get hit.drums=life wrote:FUCK THE PLCB!!!! Nuf said!!! dont hear much of them here in philly, some of the stuff i have seen and heard here would never fly in the one horse town of altoona, so glad im outta there!
