Castle Pub Metal Fest Report

Post by grimmbass »

Just wanted to post a quick shout out to all the bands who tore the house down tonight at the Castle Pub's first-ever metal festival! Rennis, Spinebelt, and Skell ripped the place apart with a tour-de-force representing a wide range of metal styles. From the Dungeon to the Main Stage....you all rocked the joint!

The Grimm was honored to share the stage with three such fine acts! Best time we've had in a long while! A big "hell yeah" to all the metal fans who showed their colors by coming out and making this show a big success!

Thanks for supporting original live heavy music!

I agree that was one of the best thing to happen arround here. Finally a bar open's their eyes and let the real music finally come out. It was so much fun first Rennis destroys the system down stairs with killer stuff. Then Spinebelt there is not to much you can say about thoes guy's just amazing who knew that all originals would kick ass so much. Then the Grimm with just a take no prisoner's attitude killed the eardrums of the people down stairs. Then Skell they played a few new ones with a few old ones and was a great way to end the night. Until a bunch of drunk people started a pit and that was the end of the night but it was too soon, I know I was one of the 200+ people there that wanted the night to keep going. But, I know I will be one of the many people that will be at the next one.

I was totally blown away by all the bands. That was the first time I got to see Spinebelt and Skell. I only got to check out Rennis for a half a song. The crowd surfing from Skell's lead singer was insane! The show was a HUGE sucess. The bands were so cool and great to work with. See you all next time you play here. :D

I thought it was a very good night. It was cool to see four original "metal" bands with distinct styles and approaches, all supporting each other's efforts, and their respective fan bases cheering on the other bands as well. I was very happy to see the response Spinebelt got, since they had never played in Ebensburg before and a lot of new people responded well to them. I thought all four bands played for keeps and kept the show interesting throughout. Review in JP's Corner soon!

Just want to thank everyone for a great show. Great to have some variety around here and my staff commented on how respectful and professional everyone from every band was. Thanks to JP for attending. Thanks to Kent from the Grimm for his help putting it together and "creative consulting". Look for another Metalfest soon!
