Post by EyesOfAnguishbassist »

Ok, I know Im early but I want one of these for Christmas, but everywhere I look I can't find this exact model, the Viper V254 in OLYMPIC WHITE.. thats the only one I want and I must have a white one but I can't find that model, the only ones I can find are really shitty Vipers or the nice ones with EMGs are black, its important that I get an OLYMPIC WHITE one lol. Any help would be awesome.. thanks! Oh and heres a link to the EXACT bass i want lol.. http://www.zzounds.com/item--ESPV254

Check with Terry @ Guitars n Stuff, he is an ESP and LTD dealer, and I'm sure that he will treat you right on the price as well.
He has some catalogs at his shop also, well atleast he did.
If not I have the new '08 catalog if ya wanna check it out lemmy know.

Anyway, he buys, sells, and trades as well.

Not quite the same, but if you're gonna get the one with the EMG-Hzs, you'll probably want to upgrade to the active EMGs anyway. Might as well save the money by getting the cheapest one, then upgrading!

I believe that ESP discontinued some of the Viper models. That may be one of them (don't quote me, though). Ebay may be your best bet.

That totally sucks brother! I hate that stuff! It seems like every other guitar is in production for a few years in a row, except fo rthe one you are looking for.

My only advise to you is to either find another that resembles it in body style and color and then mod it.
Try these alternatives as well:

Ebay (as mentioned)
Craigslist (that place has good deals, but it's not buyer and seller protective as ebay is)

Register on TalkBass, which is a Bass forum and advertise on there.

There's probably other forums that would be a viable resource.

ESP has a forum on their website, which I am a member of also.
That might be an idea?

Guitar Center has a website that's Nationwide and they have a used section where you can browse the used inventory in every store in the USA. It has pictures and descriptions as well as contact info for the stores, and most times they accept all forms of payment and they finance it for 90 days.

I know that www.jcfonline.com is THE place to buy and sell Jacksons and Charvels so that's my personal outlet when ebay doesnt have what I need.

Good luck man hope I was of some help!!
If all else fails buy a Jackson!! FTW!

Make sure you try one in person first. The neck on these felt really weird to me.

That's the most important thing above cost and cosmetics.
