Holy Grail...

Post by Killjingle »

inspred by another forum.

Any piece of gear ( not your instrument) you would want to own if money was not a huge roadblock?

For me it would be an Eventide harmonizer. 1000-2000+ dollars right now is a hurdle for some FX. But I am really keen on trying a unit.

Jackson KV2
- Neck thru
- un finished neck
- 22 Jumbo Frets
- sharkfin inlays
- reverse headstock
- No neck or body binding
- 1 EMG-81
- 1 Volume
- Original Floyd
- Gotoh tuners
- Strat style jack plate
- Black hardware

**Basically the exact guitar that I have right now except for neck thru and an actual lefty**

#2
Jackson Kelly Star
- Same specs as above

#3
Jackson 1992 Rhoads Ltd.
- Lefty with a Floyd
- Seymour Distortion bridge pup
- Seymour Jazz neck pup

#4
Gibson Flying V '67 reissue style
- Black
- Slim Taper neck
- Schaller Fine Tuner tail piece or Kahler 7330 Flatmount
- Block inlays like a Les Paul Custom
- 1 EMG '81
- 1 Volume

#5
B.C.Rich Ironbird - bolt on neck (so I can swap it w/ a Jackson, I hated Rich cause they almost never had true Jumbo's, they were more like medium-jumbo's)
- Floyd Original
- 1 EMG '81
- 1 Volume

***I could go on and on, cause being left handed it's freakin hard to find good shit. I always end up building my own, or in my case sticking with King V's (cause they're symmetrical when flipped upside down) and converting them over.

Good topic Chad! I hope alot of you guys reply, cause I am really curious to see what everyone wants for Christmas!
*Edit: thought of one more
1979 Fender Hard Tail Strat Olympic White (or whatever white was offered that year) That's my birth year and I always wanted one.

i have two American made BC Rich Warlocks (both neck thru, widow headstock, and one with a AAA blood red flamed maple top), 2 Dave Mustaine LTD signature flying Vs, a LTD Viper, a Gibson Explorer, a Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Gibson Invader, and a Charvel Model 4 guitar so i'm about burnt on guitars. got an Engl Pro cab and a Marshall cab so i'm good there. i got a nice powered Furman pedal board with a Digitech Whammy Pedal, Boss TU2, MXR Phase 90, and a MXR analog delay so i'm good there. got all Monster Cables so i'm hooked up there. got a two channel Mesa Dual rectifier and a Diezel Einstein so you would think i would be completely content... but i am a never happy jackass who loves all things guitar so.....

a Splawn Nitro so i had a Marshall sounding head with Mesa like gain. i also would love to have a Mesa Stilleto.

A synth module with a full playback sequencer, a TC quality voice harmonizer/effects, a GT-10 quality guitar processor and a digtal mixer with XLR line level outs all in 1-rack space.

OK, I'll settle for 2 rack spaces.

Hell, I'd settle for a good rack mount synth module with a built in quality playback sequencer. Believe it or not, they haven't made one in 15 years!

Money is not the problem.

Money isnt the biggest deterrent in this. Its actually if I can justify the purchase.

- A quality-sounding 8x10 sealed bass cab with tweeter that weighs 45 lbs. I don't think that neo technology has quite made it there yet. :?
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

I think it has something to do with the whole keyboard workstation concept and the attitude that we only need a sequencer on a full keyboard.
