what does it mean when...

you log on to rockpage and most of the usernames you see are yellow but some are orange, but it's not all the time. what does this mean if anything.

just wondering.

i think it means jp and ron are reading your pm's.

like rightnow Hawk, mjb, nakedtwister, jp, goneforever are all orange.

I guess you're talking about the names at the bottom of the page. I think that those are the people that are presently online but I don't know what the color thing is.

there is a legend there that says orange is administrator, white is moderator, and yellow are just the regular users of rockpage

no andy thats not what i mean. i should of explained better. when i come on to rp, in my favorites i hit rp and i have it setup that it goes right to general discussion. when that comes up, you have the thread title, author and last post. in author and last post most of the names are yellow,but some are orange and sometimes my user name is orange, sometimes it's not. when i started this thread there were all the ones i posted in the second post with the addition of hurricane which i forgot to add. none of those people were on rp at the time so it's not like the names are orange as of a way of telling these useres were the ones on rp. now as i look none of the names are orange. go figure but within 15 minutes its changed. like hawks name has been orange for a couple days. i'm just wondering what it means.

hope i explained it better this time. i understand that moderators are red and so on.

When I log into forums, all the names are orange all the time; so, I don't have that happen at all where they change colors.

If youve clicked on a link, it turns orange. The names are links, so most likely people youve clicked on to view their profile, will be orange. People you havent clicked on should remain the more yellow color.

i noticed when i logged on first they wern't. i clicked on to yahoo and came rightback and they were.

i just did my experiment again. wher i come to rp everything is yellow, i then go to yahoo and comeback and those names are orange again.

when i send pm's i do at times go to peoples profile and hit pm, that might of held some water with me as i do send hawk pm's, i sent one to hurricane today but not goneforever ever.and not nakedtwister lately and not jp lately.

i don't know, when i posted that link were those names i mentioned a different color?

I just tried it, the orange is definitely a "visited links" color. Just go to the general discussion page, click on any yellow name you'd like, and then go back to general discussion, the name should be orange.

On your toolbar, click tools and delete browsing history. Now refresh the page and see if everything turns yellow.
