EMG Suggestions

Post by DMFJ03 »

I finally was able to drop an EMG P&J set into my Spector and it pounds! However, it only came with three active controls, and I have a fourth slot open. For the time being, I have a dummy pot rigged up so my bass wouldn't look naked. I was wondering what some other fellow bass players would do with this open slot.

Discuss.

I'm assuming you have the standard V-V-T controls that come with the EMG sets. EMG does have an active EQ control called the EMG-EXB that is a mid-contour control that boosts lows/highs while cutting mids. I believe you can also have someone wire your bass for V-Blend-T-T with an additional 25k pot.

EMG has a bunch of accessory circuits on their website. I guess it all depends on the $$$ perspective. I personally would miss the active low and high controls on my Spector.
