I watched it every way I could and it was a bad call. Close but still bad. The ump was terrible all night. Absolutely the worst stike zone I've seen. He made bad calls for both teams. He is also known for bad calls and being terrible at calling strikes. Nate McClouth had a valid argument too. Both s...

I understand. It's tough to get a following in a different town. Not many people from J-town goes to see bands in Altoona and vice versa. So bringing your crowd can be tough. This idea has merit although it may take a few shows in both towns to make it worthwhile. One show in either town isn't enough.

I was there 2nd row
I was there 2nd row. The kid was amazing.
Buddy Guy was phenomenal. What a great show.
Hands down the best blues show I've seen.
Buddy Guy is 74 years young and he definitely still has "it".

Does anyone know how to get hold of...
Does anyone know how to get hold of a bass player from Johnstown named Gary Schrock? He used to jam with Wine of Nails and a few other bands in the area. I used to jam with him back in the 90s and have been trying to contact him.
Any help would be appreciated.

He was a great friend to me as well. I jammed with him in my first band Gehenna. It is no lie that he was extremely talented. I remember I lent him one of my GUITAR for the practicing musician mags with Steve Vai tune in it. He had it down the next day. Then he did the same with Eric Johnson's Cliff...

Is it not true that criminals get their guns illegally? I doubt they go in to a legit gun store and buy a 9mm or any other weapon they use for committing crimes. If the government takes away legit citizens rights to bear arms or makes them so difficult to buy that most just say to hell with it. I do...

Try to find a find a Boss GT-6 they are great processors for live stuff. Try the Behringer V-amp line too. I have had wonderful luck with them. I have seen bad reviews on the Behringer stuff but they are mostly from 10 year olds posting on musician's friend. Any one that has been playing for any len...

Thanks for the ideas guys. We don't want to do full 3 set shows since this is a side project and would love to jam with other bands in the area. I'll keep these bands in mind when we start playing out. So far, everyone I've talked to about this idea has been excited about it. It should be a lot of f...

Stoner/Doom metal band
Some friends and I are putting together a new side project. We want to do a lot of doom stoner metal in the vein of Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Sleep, Fu Manchu, The Sword, etc. I just wanted to see if there are other similar bands out there or even venues that would be into that kind of stuff in the Alto...
