I've said this about them last time you posted and I'll say it again, and everytime you post.
Alright band.
Not metal. Metalcore? Maybe but, closer to what was once nu-metal. That's right, I'm declaring that fucking shit dead. _________________ /mnt/theShaft/ |

If you want new kickass REAL metal (NOT nu-metal) to check out, try getting some of these recent/upcoming releases:
"From Your Grave" - The Absence (MetalBlade Records)
"Those Once Loyal" - Bolt Thrower (MetalBlade Records)
"Stormblast" - Dimmu Borgir (Nuclear Blast USA Records)
"Hate Yourself With Style" - Clawfinger (Nuclear Blast USA Records)
"Dark Ages" - Soulfly (Roadrunner)
"One (Hellbound)" - Demiricous (MetalBlade)
"Clients" - The Red Chord (MetalBlade)
"Judas Goats and Dieseleaters" - Ed Gein (Blackmarket Activities)
"Glorified Dirt + The True Face Of Panic" - Premonitions Of War (B.M.A.)
Pretty much the best in metal from 2005 right there. _________________ http://www.halftempted.net

thank you for your reply
i cued them up on amazon
they all stink, imo.
the tunes are so one-dementionable. monatones rule the day here. especially the vocals. but the playing doesn't do any better. one song sounds just like next in the album, each album like one before, each band like one another. boring.
i use this test.. my head starts banging its good. my head wasnt banging.
aint much too these.. very simple lots of growl and noise, very weak on creativity.
nu-metal is far far more versatile and unpredictible. and clever.
this new stuff is a step back, imo.

Well, you're certainly allowed to not like the stuff I told you about. Kind of sad that you didn't like it, but you wanted good metal, that's good metal. And it kicks the living crap out of Nu-Metal any day. _________________ http://www.halftempted.net

Which is why I haven't said anything. This is the second time she's posted about Nothingface, only to tell us real metal sucks. She just wants to pick a fight. _________________ /mnt/theShaft/ |

no i'm not trying to pick a fight, what YOU call "real metal" is uninspiring and unclever, imo. the tune starts but then goes nowhere. the beggining is like the middle is like the end. growl and bang and pound on your instrements as hard as you can for 4 mins... the end. next verse just like the first. big deal. |

no surrender- you seem to be stereotyping metal completely. if you would actually LISTEN to some REAL metal, you will see that your statements are wrong. metal inspires me alot, and some of it is VERY clever. i think that you believe that all metal sounds like death metal. i could name 100 metal bands that you should check out, but i dont think you would give them a real shot.
Check out Dream Theater. they are Progressive Metal. their singer doesnt growl and the musicians are top notch. id like to hear what you would say about them. try "Train of Thought" it came out in 2003. _________________ Iron Iron's Manager

NS:
Check out MegaDeth, Metallica, Slayer - no growling.
Pantera - you can still hear what he says.
Check out Arch Enemy - tons of harmonies, time changes, solos, shitloads of melody and a growling lady that eats souls...lol...but it doesn't all sound the same.
Look into Opeth as well maybe Trivium if you want some new stuff. Not as heavy but great guitar work.
You are mostly talking about death/black metal although I seriously doubt you listened to more than five minutes of Dimmu Borgir. If you had, you would have caught one of the 8 minute epics that changes tempos 10 times and has buttloads of melody. Listen to Old Man's Child - Felonies of the Christian Art if you find yourself digging some of the heavier shit. And if you can't headbang to that, you have been severed at the neck.
