Do you think they have the offense to go along with their great defense, to go all the way?

Great victory! Its always good to beat the Bellicheaters. But another sloppy start and too many dropped passes again today. Especially from Negate Washington. The Defense is insane and I believe they have enough offensive weapons to carry them deep into the playoffs. Granting they can stay healthy and consistently hit on all cylinders at the same time. But they are getting there, and its still too early to peak. With a tough schedule on the horizon, we'll find out soon what this team's makeup, really is. Back to you Chris.

I have to admit that for the first year in a long time I havent been following fooseball all that much.
I cant believe that they're 9-3!
I saw the standings on the Sunday paper a few weeks ago, and I was surprised at the number of good teams who weren't doing so hot this year.
(that's hot with one "t")

I'm not a huge football fan. However, I do enjoy sitting down and watching the games as I can, or if they're not on T.V., I'll listen to them on 99.1.
I don't follow stats, or even coaches. I know my Steeler's players, and not many others in the leagues (except for the big names, obviously).
I'm very pleased to see that we're making another playoff run, and seem to have a good chance to at least head to the superbowl. Of course, as mentioned, that takes some luck and the fact that we need tofire on all cylinders like we did last evening.
Here's to hoping!

I'll get to this one later...

They are 7-5 on the season. Comparing to how they been in the recent years; that is pitiful. And without bradey there, they will not get there again ....witchhunt wrote:I thought the Pats won their last couple.
Last week they beat Miami (then a high school team could beat them), and they lost the week before.
Music Rocks!
I think I saw the great Randy Moss drop a few key touchdown passes during that game. Cassel did all he could do besides put a bright red bow on some of those passes. In bad weather conditions like that, it's about who wants it the most. Pittsburgh dropped some too but caught them when they needed to. Brady wouldn't have made much of a difference IMHO cuz with this D, he'd have been running for his life, even in perfect weather. One player does not make a team as Pittsburgh has been showing in the running back position.f.sciarrillo wrote:That game yesterday showed just how much of an asset Bradey is. They were playing like they did before he came along lol .. Can some one please explain how Belichick is still head coach ?
As far as to why Belicheat is still the coach there, who knows, but I think it's finally coming to light that it's much harder to field a winning team when you don't have the benefit of video tape of the other teams' hand signals. That started to become apparent during the Super Bowl and is very apparent this season. He is not the coach he's touted as being. He's a cheater and cheater's always lose in the end. I laugh about it because it feels good.

No. They can't go all the way with Ben refusing to throw the ball and holding it like it's a Jack Daniel's bottle all the time. The guy needs to learn that he can't turn a sack into a miracle play all the time and throw the damn ball away. Good Lord, he gives me heart attacks during games. They also need to have a solid O-line. Too many injuries, too many mistakes, too inconsistent.
Dood...

Ben's a playmaker. If he doesn't hold on to the ball at the end of that game, yesterday, he doesn't throw a touchdown to win the game. He also threw for 130 yards in the fourth quarter, for his second come from behind win in as many weeks. ( against two of the best defenses in the league) Agreed the O- line is inconsistent. But that why its good to have a QB who can scramble and make plays.
As to whether this team can make it all the way. Of course they CAN. Its still too early to say if they (or anybody else) will. But the Steelers have the number one defense in the league, and arguably the best they've ever had. I'll take that going into the playoffs, anytime.

Even though home field is on the line, they should sit Ben down for the next few weeks and let him finally, completely heal. Leftwich could start for a lot of other teams.
on a side note: 2 feet down in the end zone with posession of the ball is a touchdown, no matter where the ball happens to be...there is no "break the plane" requirement there.
