The Backyard Rockers formed in early 2012 as the result of the weekly Wednesday Open Mic/Jam Nights at Pellegrine's in Altoona. Singer/guitarist Rich Dasch and “Harmonica Dave” Baird first formed a duo, and subsequently added "The Professor," Jim Price on percussion. The Backyard Rockers take a free-form approach to performing acoustic classic rock, experimenting with different rhythms and instrumental arrangements, and letting the developing muses lead the way. Their presentation is always laid-back and friendly, and their goal is to share their enthusiasm and fun spirit of creating music with their audience. A typical performance will include staples from the catalogs of Neil Young, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and more; but surprises are always a possibility, and when guests join in, the journey can take fun and unpredictable directions! We provide easy-going acoustic fun, suitable for a laid-back bar atmosphere, the backyard barbecue or picnic, festivals, house parties and more! Give us a call! |
