R2B2 covers music from the 70's thru present. Rock'n'Roll to Funk, and Country. Every song is mainstream, danceable, and easily recognizable. Since it's inception in April 2010 R2B2 has been well received at all the venues they have played at.
r2b2 consists of 4 seasoned muscian and a top-notch sound tech who has worked with the best sound companies in the area.
In order to provide our audience with the best possible sound we use a sound tech for all our jobs. Our soundman gives you a perfect blend of drums, guitars, and vocal harmonies without being overly loud or harsh sounding. Now don't get me wrong, we can get LOUD if it is required for larger venues! We strive to give our audiences the best that we can without using gimmicks like autotune, pre-recorded loops, etc. all our music is LIVE and we play all the instruments and percussion!

Rick Wertz - plays guitar and sings and has done those things for a really long time! Past musical adventures have included popular bands like Xeno, Two Old Men, and US Sound Theatre. Recently he has been performing with Ricky Lee and the Mustangs, the British Invasion…again, and has been pitted in many musical theater productions. He is very proud of his use of the word “pitted”.
Ric Criste... is an native of Altoona PA . Piano started the musical journey at age five. Drums were an interest at eleven. Guitar and bass took over at sixteen. Guitar became a lifelong obsession.
College music studies were complimented with guitar and voice lessons.
That resume and local band experience culminated in being offered a position with Larry Alltop and The Exciters from Boston.
The result was a three year international tour. The end of that tour brought a move to Boston; writing, recording, and playing all original compositions. Label and radio attention focused into opening for headline bands.
Ric is currently teaching privately and has written a unique guitar teaching method.
Bill Smith...Altoona bassist , originally from Hastings, PA, holds down the low end of the band as well as lending a hand with lead and backup vocals. He started playing bass at the tender age of thirteen and within two months was playing weekly in a popular Johnstown Country Rock band. Over the past 33 years, Bill has played 80’s glam rock, 50’s & 60’s oldies, Bluegrass and Classic Rock music which has taken him throughout the tri state area playing a variety of venues.
Beau Saller... Started playing area bars & clubs in 1968. Over the years he has kept time for some of the best muscians in the area. In the 70's & 80's he was the drummer for some of the most popular bands ( FM and Xeno) in central Pa. He semi-retired in the 90's. He is currently the drummer for Ricky Lee & The Mustangs and R2B2
