| Hounds of Soul has been playing in the Central Pennsylvania area since 2008. We are a nine-piece rhythm and blues/soul band preserving the tradition of the great horn bands like Tower of Power, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind and Fire, and Chicago. With strong leading vocals from Sherri Orlofsky, a solid rhythm section featuring Jordan Thompson on drums, and a four-piece horn section made up of the best horn players in the region, the Hounds of Soul throw out a wall of sound that pulls you on to the dance floor and back in time. Although most of our song list comes from the 60s and 70s. the tunes themselves are timeless and appeal to music lovers of all ages. |

| The arrangements let the horn players stretch out a bit and show what they can do. Expect to dance to covers of classic tunes by Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Wilson Pickett, Tower of Power, Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind and Fire, Sam and Dave, Steely Dan, and the blue-eyed soul of Hall and Oates, to name a few.
